Introduction

Hello all! I am Miranda Kelley, the NTIC’s new Wellness Coordinator! A little bit about myself: I was born and raise in Tunkhannock, PA. I attended Susquehanna University and earned my bachelor’s in Music Education. Shortly after graduating, I moved to Arizona where I taught for 10 years. After teaching middle school orchestra and general music for a few years (I really did enjoy those snarky kids), I started attending Arizona State University to pursue my master’s in Exercise and Wellness, focusing on Health Promotion. After obtaining that degree and seven years in music, I pivoted to physical education for three years before transitioning out of education. I spent the last two years as a wellness coordinator for Banner Health and loved it but missed being home. I am excited that my two worlds of wellness and education are colliding in this role, and I am very excited to work with you all.

On a personal side, I have a husband, Kyle, two cats, and two border collies who keep us moving. I have a lot of hobbies and enjoy being active by dirt biking, snowboarding, skateboarding, wakeboarding, and paddle boarding. (If it’s a board, I’m all about it!) I do also like to slow down and spend time at home baking bread, watching TV, and playing video games on the Nintendo Switch.
